INVITATION FOR BIDS DEMOLITION, SITE CLEARANCE WINDBER BOROUGH and BOSWELL BOROUGH, SOMERSET COUNTY CONTRACT NO. 1 WB-16-17-DEMO CONTRACT NO. 2 SC-14-DEMO The Redevelopment Authority of Somerset County will receive sealed bids for Demolition and Site Clearance in Windber Borough, Contract No. 1 (WB-16-17-DEMO) and Contract No. 2 (SC-14-DEMO) Boswell Borough, Somerset County, Pa. Bids will be received until 10:30 A.M., prevailing time, on the 5th day of March 2019, at the AuthorityÕs office located at 300 N. Center Avenue, Suite 520, Somerset, PA 15501. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 A.M., prevailing time, the same date, at the Authority's office. Bids are invited on the following: The demolition and clearance of one (1) vacant, wood frame residential structure and one (1) four story apartment building, located in the Borough of Windber and one (1) two story apartment building located in the Borough of Boswell, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Site grading and seeding will be included. Contract documents and technical specifications are on file and can be reviewed and obtained from the Redevelopment Authority of Somerset County; upon a non-refundable deposit of $15.00 per set. Checks shall be made payable to the Redevelopment Authority of Somerset County. Addenda, if any, will be issued only to those persons whose name and address are on record with the Owner as having obtained the Contract Documents. Attention is called to the fact that "Proof of Disposal" of an acceptable solid waste/demo refuse disposal method, approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, must be submitted at the time of bidding. Attention is also called to the fact that the contractor will be responsible for removal and disposal of all asbestos containing material in accordance with all applicable Federal and State regulations. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Redevelopment Authority of Somerset County, negotiable U.S. Government Bond (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid shall also be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance, Labor and Materialmen's Bond before awarding the Contract. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap and to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for employment be given to the lower income residents of the project area. INVITATION FOR BIDS The Borough of Southmont will receive sealed bids until 4:00 p.m. prevailing local time on the 18th day of March, 2019 at the Southmont Borough Office, 148 Wonder Street, Johnstown, PA 15905. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on the same day at 4:00 p.m. for the following contract: Contract 2019 - 1: Gardner Street Storm Sewer Project The proposed project includes the installation of approximately 200 L.F. of concrete curb, 30 L.F. of 12Ó storm sewer, inlets and all associated appurtenances. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Contract Documents may be viewed or obtained at the office of Stiffler, McGraw &amp Associates, Inc., 1731 North Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals for the ÒStineman Refuse Pile ProjectÓ, located in South Fork Borough and Adams Township, will be received by the Cambria County Conservation and Recreation Authority, (hereinafter ÒCCCRAÓ) until 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the CCCRA Offices, 401 Candlelight Drive, Suite 240, Ebensburg, PA 15931. Any proposal received later than this time and date will be returned to the Bidder unopened. All proposals submitted pursuant to this solicitation will be publicly opened and read aloud sometime after 8:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 13, at the CCCRA Executive Committee Meeting at Kostas Restaurant 3135 New Germany Rd Suite #5, Ebensburg, PA 15931. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 4, 2019, at the site. The work to be performed involves the removal of approximately 200,000 cubic yards of coal refuse material from the site, regrading of the remaining coal refuse material, revegetation of all affected areas and construction of approximately 8,875 linear feet of recreational trail, including installation of a minor stream crossing (GP-7). The CCCRA is utilizing federal funds for this project and is subject to all related federal regulations. Davis-Bacon and related Acts apply to this Contract. The contractor shall comply with the conditions of the grant agreement between the CCCRA and the DEP, (Department of Environmental Protection), and the ÒDEP General Conditions For Construction 2016Ó.
