(First Published December 7, 2015) Notice of Municipal Election In accordance with the Revised Statutes of Missouri, notice is hereby given to the voters of the City of Duquesne, MO, that a Municipal Election shall be held on April 5, 2016 to elect: Ward 1 Alderman 1 year term Ward 1 Alderman 2 year term Ward 2 Alderman 2 year term Candidate filing for the Board of Aldermen for the City of Duquesne, MO begins December 15, 2015 at 8 a.m. and closes on January 19, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Qualified candidates for these positions may file at the City Clerk's office, Duquesne City Hall, at 1501 S. Duquesne Rd, Joplin, MO. The City's offices will be closed on December 25th, 2015; and January 1st, 2016. All candidates must sign an affidavit from the Department of Revenue stating that all taxes are paid when filing for office. A copy of the affidavit is needed by the City Clerk.
