(Published in The Norman Transcript December 1, 2015, 1t) IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF CLEVELAND COUNTY STATE OF OKLAHOMA IN THE MATTER OF THE ADOPTION OF Baby Spence, A Minor Child, Case No. FA-2015-56 NOTICE OF HEARING APPLICATION FOR TERMINATION OF THE PARENTAL RIGHTS OF THE PUTATIVE FATHER OF BABY SPENCE TO: ALLEGED Putative Father, Of a Child Born on the 8TH day of November 2015, In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma A petition was filed in this Court for the adoption of Baby Spence born to Emma Spence, on the 8th day of November, 2015; an Application for Termination of the Parental Rights of the Putative Father, NAME UNKNOWN has also been filed; and a hearing on the application is set on the 1st day of February, 2015 at 9:15 A.M., in the District Courtroom of Judge Bonner in the Cleveland County courthouse, 200 South Peters, 2nd floor, Norman, Oklahoma, 73069. Petitioners have alleged in their petition that said child are eligible for adoption in that you, the Unknown putative father of Baby Spence, has filed to acknowledge paternity of the child, Baby Spence, or to take any action to legally establish your claim to paternity of said child or to exercise parental rights or duties over said child including failure to contribute to the support of the mother of said child to the extent of your financial ability during her term of pregnancy. As the biological parent of the child, you would have the right to intervene in the proceeding, to petition the court to request an additional twenty (20) days from receipt of notice to prepare for the proceedings and further extension of time may be granted with court approval. If you are unable to afford counsel, counsel may be appointed to represent you. YOU ARE, THEREFORE, NOTIFIED THAT THE COURT WILL HEAR EVIDENCE IN SUPPORT OF AND IN OPPOSITION TO THE GRANTING OF THE APPLICATION AT THE TIME AND PLACE SHOWN ABOVE WHERE YOU WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE PRESENT, HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD AT SAID TIME AND PLACE, AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE ADOPTION OF SAID CHILD. YOUR FAILURE TO APPEAR AT SAID HEARING SHALL CONSTITUTE A DENIAL OF YOUR INTEREST IN THE CHILD, WHICH DENIAL MAY RESULT, WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE OF THIS PROCEEDING OR ANY SUBSEQUENT PROCEEDINGS, IN SAID CHILDS ADOPTION WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT, THEREBY ULTIMATELY TERMINATING YOUR RIGHTS TO SAID CHILD INACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA.
